Principles of Design -Unity (Buildings)

Hey everyone!
This is the last topic of Principles of Design! Unity is when the elements of the work of art all contributed to a sense of harmony and completeness.
I hope you enjoy this blog post of unity with pictures around the school.

Principles of Design -Variety (Diversity)

Hello people of the internet!
We are on Variety the second to last topic of the Principles of Design. Variety is a combination of different subjects that complements each other and guide the viewer's eyes through out the work of art.

Documenting the Blues in the Mississippi Delta

Hello guys!
Today we looked at the gallery at Lens and found a picture that represents unity, which is our last Principal of Design topic. This picture T Model Ford and Gentle taken by Margo Cooper shows unity between the grandfather, baby and the old family car in the back. This picture represents unity within the family and  happiness as they hang outside on the yard. Even though there is a generational gap between the grandfather and grandson, their smiles make everything in that moment feel complete and in harmony.

Shout out to Samuel Sze for helping me find the URL of the picture with his computer science skills.

Principles of Design -Rhythm (:D)

Hey everyone!
My photography class is now on the topic of Rhythm. What is rhythm and how does one show it in a picture? Well, rhythm is a subject that is repeated and used to create an organized movement to evoke a certain mood. The following pictures are taken around the school at different times. Hope you enjoy them!

Principles of Design -Pattern and Repetition

Hello everyone!
We are working on pattern and repetition, but what is the difference between them? Well, pattern is the repetition of objects throughout the work of art while repetition uses pattern to bring life and unify to the work of art. So around the school, I took pictures of structures that shows a kind of pattern that is repeating.

Principles of Design -Movement (Buildings)

Hey guys!

It seems to me that most of my pictures are movement, symmetry, or emphasis depending on the topic. Today we went to the MSJ Garden and took pictures of movement , a bit challenging since it's in an enclosed area. So this post has the past three days of pictures I took around the school with my Digital Photography group. Hope you're impressed by them. :P

Principles of Design -Proportion (Boxes!)

Hey guys!
So we took pictures near the office after looking at Rich Clarkson's Gallery to see proportion. I find it interesting to see how the images shows the subject, fitting well with its background. And most of his pictures have boxes or clouds, so I then used that idea when I was taking pictures. Enjoy!
